1. Hand-Crafted Variations
Every Black Tusk product is unique. Because we use natural Canadian hardwoods and exotic timbers, variations in grain pattern, color, and mineral streaks are to be expected and celebrated. These are not defects, but the "fingerprint" of the tree.
2. Safety & Liability Disclaimer
By purchasing and using Black Tusk Percussion products, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Professional Use Only: Our products are high-impact musical tools. They are designed exclusively for use with standard drum kits and percussion instruments.
Assumption of Risk: Drumming involves high velocity and repetitive force. Black Tusk Percussion is not liable for damage to drumheads, hardware, or other equipment resulting from use, nor for any physical injury resulting from improper installation or "beater fly-out."
Regular Inspection: Users are responsible for inspecting the bond between the wood head and the metal shaft before every session. If any loosening is detected, discontinue use immediately.
3. Shipping & The "Dual-Hub" Model
We operate from two hubs in British Columbia.
Processing Time: Items marked "In Stock" typically ship within 3-5 business days from our Victoria finishing hub.
Carrier: We utilize Canada Post for all shipments. Once an item is handed to the carrier, risk of loss passes to the buyer. We recommend ensuring your shipping address is a secure location.
Standard Packaging: To support our brand values, we avoid single-use plastics. Your order will arrive in a durable burlap or canvas bag within a recyclable cardboard box.
4. Warranty & Returns (The Black Tusk Guarantee)
90-Day Craftsmanship Warranty: We guarantee the structural integrity of the wood-to-metal bond and the metal hardware for 90 days.
What is Not Covered: Normal wear and tear (including "rim-shot" marks on wood), environmental cracking due to improper humidity/temperature storage, or damage from misuse.
